Borland was writing dev tools and database software when MS was still
hocking Windows 3.1. I still think that Borland's tools were better
than Microsoft's. Borland's C++ tools had features I loved that STILL
aren't easily accessed, or just plain missing, in MS's Visual line.

Borland Office to be a fierce competitor with MS Office, what
happened? Borland went the same route as Apple and IBM's OS/2, that's
what. Great ideas that never got far off the ground because of bad
project or company management. Borland may just pull it off, too.

I would love to see the re-emergence of Borland, not only into the IS
industry, but the home office as well. I just hope that Borland has
the wits to revamp their staff to match their new look.
